Curriculum Features
Life-wide Learning
Design of the school curriculum is based on Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide prepared by the Curriculum Development Council, using real-life experience to connect with the content of the six learning areas, including "Physical Fitness and Health", "Language", "Early Childhood Mathematics", "Nature and Living", "Self and Society" and "Arts and Creativity". The curriculum upholds the core value of "child-centredness", according to the children's development and interest provide integrated and comprehensive learning experience that are conduct to children's learning, nurturing children to attain all-round development in the domains of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills and aesthetics.
Evidence-based international tools for continuous evaluate of environmental quality
International standard (Early Childhood Environment Rating Scales) have been used in the School to evaluate and improve quality of children's learning environment, to achieve children's engagement in self-directed learning in class.
Real-life Experience
School provide real-life, sensory and interesting learning experiences through daily routines, meaningful and enriching activities to build children's habit, outdoor exploration and community visit to nurture children's pro-social skills, love of natural environment. Diverse art activities are provided to develop children's creativity. Children can also develop and learn to be respect others in the real world.

Interesting and quality listening, speaking, reading and writing experiences
Whole language approach is implement with children's books for integrated teaching and learning. School has created an authentic and language-rich environment with various types of language materials to develop children's abilities. Reading of picture books and big books successfully helps children develop the basic reading strategies and an interest in reading. With the fun and real-life listening and speaking experiences, children's reading skills are enriched.
Diverse Learning Content
The School create a language rich and diversified environment. Children could pay attention to the language materials in everyday life and recognize the characteristics of language. The School provide different materials to encourage children to develop the habit of reading, take the initiative to read, and acquire the basic skills for reading such as the directionality of text.
Language Enhancement Programmes
The School increase language environment for learning English and Putonghua. Children's interest and confidence can be enhanced in using English and Putonghua through stories, games, singing and daily conversations.
Project Approach
Based on children's interest, experience and authentic materials to get started children's topic for inquiry and to design integrated learning activities for children to observe, ask question, hypothesize, discuss, collect information, analyze and reason from different perspectives. During the process, children's interest authority and initiative in learning are achieved.
'Hugging Nature' Education Cultural Heritage Programme
'The Forbidden City in My Home', an educational programme organized by the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop was implement in the School since 2016. The programme is with a strong emphasis on first-person, hands-on experiences and feelings. 'Hugging Nature' pre-school education workshops are organized around the four themes of stone, wood, water and earth in nature. Through a fun-filled variety of stories, games, multimedia materials and arts and crafts activities, children are put in touch with traditional culture and explore the ways it relates to today's living as they learn and experience.
Emotional Education
The School social worker organizes talks and workshops regularly for parents over diverse topics to support children's wellbeing and social-emotional development. "Growing up with Self-esteem" parents education curriculum is used in school to empower parents on building children's senses of security, competence, mission, affiliation and uniqueness by understanding and addressing children's and own their needs. Emotional development by showing understanding of their feelings and giving encouragement.
Taiwan Cloud Gate Dance School - Leap! Body Education Programme
School has implemented the Leap! Program, to use dance as a teaching medium to create a learning platform for the children aged 4-6 since 2009. The programme curriculum contains different topics, children are required to observe and interact with different objects such as plants and teaching tools. Children have to create an artistic conception through their imaginations and transform their feeling into body movements. Through the joy of learning and systematic body movement experiences, children can foster holistic development and develop confidence and positive values, as well as establish connections between self and the broader environment.
Special Child Care Services
Integrated Programme (IP)
The School operate two units of subvented integrated programme with 12 quota for children with special education needs. Trained special early childhood practitioners will based on children needs to provide developmental assessment, appropriate individual training, over cognitive language, social, physical development. The School encourage parental participation, for example, organize parent-child activities and have diverse means to communicate with and involve parents for promoting learning and development in the children.
On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services
TWGHs has established service teams to provide on-site early intervention for children aged 2-6 with special needs. Assessment, individual or group on-site and centre based training are conducted by the team (including Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Special Early Childhood Practitioners). Counseling, talks and workshops are also organized to support parents and school consultation are given to teaching.
